Wines from the most storied single vineyards in Southern Alto Adige. And from the majestic Dolomites of Trentino.
GEWÜRZTRAMINER, PINOT NERO AND BEYOND
Sourced from distinguished single vineyards, these wines embody the essence of their unique origin: The “Vigna” where they are grown.
J. Hofstätter’s vineyards span both sides of the Adige Valley in southern Alto Adige, within the historic wine villages of Tramin/Termeno, Söll/Sella, Mazon, and Buchholz/Pochi. This diversity of vineyard sites reflects the remarkable versatility of Alto Adige as a wine region. Each vineyard, with its unique altitude and the intriguing blend of alpine and Mediterranean climates, imparts a distinct and bold character to our wines.
Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir are deeply rooted in our estate’s history. With the Barthenau Vigna S. Urbano Pinot Nero, Paolo Foradori once introduces the term “Vigna,” establishing a new standard in Alto Adige’s wine culture. Today, our portfolio expands with varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon, and Lagrein—all distinguished by the unmistakable signature of J. Hofstätter.
In southern Trentino, our bold mountain wines truly flourish. At Maso Michei, set within the dramatic landscape of the “Piccole Dolomiti”, our vineyards reach altitudes of up to 850 meters above sea level.
