Planted in 1942 using the pergola training system, this is the oldest Pinot Noir parcel in Alto Adige. The topsoil consists of limestone marl, with porous sandstone beginning at a depth of 70 cm. Since 2012, it is vinified separately, producing the most exclusive and limited Pinot Noir selection from our Barthenau Estate. The wine stands out for its high concentration and pronounced minerality.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby red colour. Aromatic depth with the multifaceted fragrance of Amarelle cherry, lingonberry, subtle vanilla, and delicate oak. Highly elegant on the palate with precisely distinct acidity and velvety tannins.
